Terms and Conditions

Cancelation Policy

All deposits, which are half of your total booking cost, are non-refundable at any point in time. If more than 14 days notice are given, we will hold your deposit as a credit for a future or rescheduled booking, and any additional balance may be refunded. If less than 14 day notice is given, there are no refunds nor are there any credited deposits.

Late Fees

Bookings made with 14 days or less notice are subject to a price increase.

For quotes sent out more than 14 days before an event date, if payment has not been made or submitted before the 14 day mark, it will be considered a short notice booking and we reserve the right to increase prices.

Details

All event details must be finalized more than 14 days ahead of the event date. After this point we place our supply orders and staff accordingly. Any last-minute changes made will result in a service fee based upon the changes made. We strive to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. These fees help us offset the operational costs associated with late bookings or last-minute changes. Not all changes are guaranteed.

Supplies

All supplies provided by NBSSS are for bar use ONLY. Our supplies cannot be used to supplement the needs of catering and other vendors, including water and ice. This also includes water for sit down table service or wine for table service. This will make the bar run out faster and additional supplies will not be sent after the bartender has begun service. If additional supplies are needed, it is your responsibility to inform your events specialist of your additional supply needs and have them pre purchased in a timely manner.

All remaining supplies, except for any opened bottles of wine, will be taken by our staff at the end of the event. Our per person cost allows us to anticipate your supply needs, but we still always bring a few extra supplies to have on hand to ensure that you don’t run out during your event. Because of this, that extra is always returned with us.

Gratuity

Tip Jars may be requested to allow guests to tip our staff as they feel appropriate. If you prefer no tip jar, then a hosted gratuity is preferred. Hosted gratuities may be given directly to staff as cash or electronic payments, or we can add them to your invoice and pass those along to our staff.

The industry standard hosted gratuity is $25/hour per Bartender and $10/hour per Server (based on a minimum of 4 hours) If your guests take it up on themselves to also tip our staff, the staff are not obligated to deny the tips.

For events with less than 50 guests, we recommend a hosted gratuity instead of a tip jar. In our experience, bartenders do not make the minimum gratuity with smaller guest counts. Please note, since servers can’t have a tip jar due to the nature of their job function, we always recommend doing a hosted gratuity for servers.

We include a 0.05% transaction fee if gratuity is included on the invoice to ensure that 100% of the gratuities can go to the staff.

Extra Time

If you realize you would like, or need, to extend the length of your event on the day of or during it, please contact your event booking specialist to make that request. Our bartending and wait staff will be able to put you in touch with us if needed as well. Any extra time must be communicated to us and will be billed directly to the client from an admin the following morning.

Our bartenders and wait staff cannot accept direct payments for additional time.  Any cash given directly to staff will be considered a gratuity.

Planners

If your gathering has an “Event Planner” or POC (Point of Contact) of any type present at the event, we will assume that they will be able to make changes or adjustments to your contract on the day of your event.

This includes but is not limited to: Start and End times for the bar, closing the bar early, adding additional time or guest amounts, acquiring products not listed on the contract, etc. We will ask for this person’s information before your event.

All Guests

Are subject to ID at the bar. Underage and “visually intoxicated” guests will not be served. If any underage guests are served by guests who are of age, they will also be “cut off” from the bar.

Any illegal activity or harassment of any kind during the event toward staff will not be tolerated. If a guest is harassing an employee, the client will be notified. If the guest persists, the bar can and will close and no refund will be given. If the event has any illegal activity going on, the client will be warned, and this contract will be terminated with no refund given. Attorney’s fees in case of a dispute will be at the prevailing party’s expense.
