About National Bartenders Staffing Service Our History

NB Staffing was started in 2013 by Paul Michaels out a beautiful Thousand Oaks office in May 2014. Today, NB Staffing has six offices, and serves all of LA County,  Santa Barbara County, Ventura County,  Inland Empire, Orange County, Bakersfield, and as of March 2017, New York City.

We are the #1 ranked staffing service on Yelp, Gigmasters, and Thumbtack. The success and growth we have experienced is attributable to our core philosophy of going above and beyond and that customer satisfaction will always come above all else. While we bring in staff that may have years experience, we  still require all servers/barbacks/bartenders to go through 20 hours of rigorous training on mixology and hospitality expectations.  All working bartenders are nationally certified, and are required to either have or be in the process of obtaining their alcohol awareness certifications.

About the Owner

Paul Michaels is a well recognized mixologist albeit in his other life he was an  accomplished and published writer, college and high school teacher,  department head of history, and has earned a Masters degree in history and a focus on Special Education at Cal State Northridge and Cal State Los Angeles. Over the past decade Paul has bartended at the world famous Canyon Club in Agoura Hills,  Mr. Bartender as well as for his own bartending service,  and has served as a drink consultant for Rock N Roll  Bar of Moopark,   the Musashi’s Chain Restaurant,, and most recently for  Serafina’s on Sunset having helped design their current craft cocktail menu.
